To answer your question, I enjoyed this one very much. It’s much more interesting than, say, cruise ships or Disney to me. But then again, I’m more of an adventure traveler. Nice work!

This episode seemed to be more of “what went wrong” instead of “what there is to see over there”

You said you don’t like to do negative episodes, but if you only do positive episodes people will have the impression that travel is always wonderful. I think we should take the bad with the good and take reality as it is.

I loved this episode. I think that these people oculd overcome what went wrong and had a good time

I really enjoyed this episode. Everyone who has traveled has had problems at some point. Shiela reminded you that when you’re done you’ll laugh (or at least not cry) over the misadventures. Also, it’s nice to see how things can go wrong when taking a more adventurous trip, so people can decided if they’re ready for something like that.

Great episode. See it as an great experience and adventure, because the most exciting adventures can’t be planned. And a Siberia-Trip certainly is a great adventure.

interesting episode. Sure the choice of right guide for Altai tours is the best way to avoid such disappointing trips.

Wow, this was really an adventure. I am glad everything went well, but travelers really have to be prepared for surprises (but mostly not that bad) when you go to Siberia – very often plans change.
I also think that it is helpful to hear about the negative experiences – potential visitors will prepare better and can avoid making the same mistakes (though Sheile here did not make mistakes). That’s why I like the “What is a warningyou would give?”-question so much.
The Altai is really a very beautiful mountain range and I recommend travelers go there – but never ever without a guide since in many places (as Sheila pointed out!) there are no trails. If you go into that region and need some culture after the nature experience, I recommend visiting Novosibirsk, the third city in Russia!
And for Russians, Siberia is actually smaller than for western people: it does not stretch from the Ural to the Far East, but “just” from the province of Omsk to the Transbaikal province.
Enjoy your travels!
