No doubt you have heard about the Terracotta Warriors of Xi’an, China created for the first emperor of China. But did you know that every one of these statues except one of the 8,000 warriors was smashed about a year after the emperor’s death. So when you look at pit #1 what you are really seeing is a lot of work by some people really good at jigsaw puzzles.

Emperor Quin Shi Huang must have been an ambitious man if he wanted so many soldiers even in the afterlife. I wonder how many people worked and for how long to create his army…
